Hello

Hello,
I've had a great time hanging out with Amelia, seeing where we have similarities and where we differ, but it's surprising how much of what she dealt with as a woman in the 1930's is still happening today.
My background is in theater. I am an actor, who has also directed, stage managed, worked as a scenic painter, and is an excellent carver of styrofoam walls for theatrical sets. Here's my acting website: Julia Morgantini
I've always been a writer. My degree is in English Literature - - I graduated from UCONN, Honors Scholar, Cum Laude, with a BA in English. I write content, I wrote short stories for a web series awhile back; I journal; I've written blurbs for auctions, and curriculum; I've spent the past 5 years working on an epic story called The Adventures of Kid Lucky. It's a story in three parts; it can be a radio drama, and I imagine it being something to usher in a new type of animation film - - a streamable mini-series. It's about a bunch of NYC street pigeons who get drafted in WW 2 to work as carrier pigeons, and it takes a lot of research.
The idea of working with Amelia came from that story. There was a bit where the pigeons are delayed, and to entertain them, their handler asks, who was the first person to cross the Atlantic Ocean by airplane? And the pigeons say - - Charles Lindbergh, Amelia Earhart! - - which is what most people think. To be able to answer that question, I had to learn all about the burgeoning aviation industry, which planted a seed in the back of my mind for this play.
It was the US Navy, by the way, in 1919.
Love to hear from you if you have any questions or comments!
Julia
